so there was heaps of hype around AoC, people talking it up left right and centre.

now all i read is that its a failed game filled with bugs and lag. people are offering to sell me their copies for like 20% original price.

Is it really that bad? or am i only being subjected to the people who dislike it?

apparently like 40% of the people who quit WoW for AoC are back playing WoW now.

Well, so much ppl have seen in aoc an second daoc (dark age of camelot).99% of this ppl have quittet it soon i guess.
I have played also aoc, got an 80 DT and a 40 PoM. At moment i have also unsubscribed my acc because the unfinished game.
I think the game was to early released, for me its still a beta and i am not willing to pay for an "live beta". I still hope the game will become better but for the moment it doesnt look so for me.
Maybe its because i am an old mmorpg player with a high requirement sight... Some ppl like the game at moment also like it is, well u have to play it to make your own decision of the game. BTW, pm me if you want my acc on aries (DE-PVP) or gold on this server ;-) .

Yeah, I totally agree with you on the beta thing... I feel like I'm playing a beta. A really AMAZING beta. If you have a good computer and can run AoC on high, you will be amazed at the graphics. The game doesn't just have good graphics though, the AoC world was done very well (if you've read any of the books, you'll love the game even more). I think a lot of people began playing with the stupid attitude of "This game is going to KILL WOW! This is gonna be the BEST GAME EVER!! The PvP in this game is gonna BLOW WoW out of the water!!!" (which in my opinion... It did, I played wow for 2 years, and I'm quite certain that after playing AoC I'll never look at WoW again. To me, comparing WoW with AoC is like comparing an XboX 360 with an action figure (xbox = AoC, action figure = WoW). Continuing what I was saying about peoples attitudes going in to AoC; they failed to realize that, AoC is an MMO, MMO's are CONSTANTLY changing and being made better, you can't expect a brand new MMO to be perfect... I don't even want to think about when WoW first came out, the game sucked some huge nuts. Now, Funcom is in large to blame for this attitude of people coming into the game, but still. Nothing is perfect.

I love AoC, I think a year or two from now, a lot more people will play it.

I think its at least worth a try, but if you don't have a good computer... Stick to WoW.

Yeah i think also i will not sell any gold or my account. Ill just take a look again at the game in a year or so till there come enough changes and improves.

Now my hope is at Warhammer Online. The great producers of the great game daoc (dark age of camelot), daoc is still the best rvr/pvp game in my sight. The reason that sooo much ppl left daoc was wow, what i cant understand, maybe cause they want something newer... some came back to daoc, some stayed at wow because they need to farm

i had a hard time selling my account for 10$.

I played it for like 2 weeks then quit....../fail

well they just released the PVP system 2 days ago (17 september) and it made the game alot better

althought AoC is far from being perfect, it's still a good game
