I will be getting a new video card( NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT 512MB DDR2 memory) and another gig of ram soon. Will I be able to run AoC and get over 30 fps? Thanks.

Almost anyone can run this game if you crank the graphics really low, and turn off all the reflections. But honestly i just spent about 800$ upgrading my comp specifically for this game, and graphics are half the fun in it i'de say :/

w/o them you lose all the special effects ect.. But i'de just go to the site and see

8500gt.. ouch.... you could TRY running at low res and low settings everything... should probably handle it

I went ahead and ordered a little better video card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150247 and another gig of ram. As for canyourunit.com I passed all of the recommended except for ram and video card, which I'm upgrading now.

i run the game fine on a 7600gt, youll be fine

... i have a 8600gt and i run it on medium with 25-50fps and i can run it on high with low fps

I'd def try for like another gig of ram.. 1meg is pretty low, i'm using 4 with vista and it can get choppy

Haven't been on in like two weeks though, they were fixing alot of the fps/lag issues when i stopped playing, don't know how it is now

I'm using a 8800GTX and even with that i was only getting like 30frames in big fights..

I used to have an 8500, its a horrible card (although it was very cheap). Don't get one if you plan on high-end gaming. I would suggest a 8800 or 9800 gtx

u should get a 8800gt....the difference between 8600 and 8800 is huge. 8600 is a piece of trash =\
