I really want to play AoC but I know for sure that this 3 year old laptop will never be able to play it, so I'm looking to upgrade and buy a new pc. (I'll need a new one for college anyway)

So, I would greatly appreciate it if you would all post your specs and (if you're willing) about how much you paid for your machine (and maybe where you got it) Also it would be nice if you posted what kind of settings you can run AoC and what framerate you can play it at. I know there are "minimum" and "recommended" requirements but that never tells you how well you can play the game (5 fps @ lowest settings with min req's is not acceptable, etc)

Thanks!

no idea how much mine is since I bought and am slowly upgrading. Got an emachine with 2.66ghz duel processor, 2 gigs of ram, and an 8800GT(OC). I play on medium getting about 25fps out of town and like 10 - 15 in town lol. So I should prolly play on low lol

best way to build a gaming comp is to go to www.newegg.com and pick out all the parts and put it together yourself.

I saw that but this peaked my curiosity:
I passed the test on everything except my video card (and hd space.. but that's fixable)

However, it says I pass all elements of the vid card test, while still failing?

Anyone have any ideas on whether I might be able to run it?
P.S.: The same thing happened to me for TES4: Oblivion but it managed to install and run until I got outside the first part, and I started having an fps of 2-4 with minimum settings, being able to only see things about 3 feet away from me but still getting horrible fps.

As a rule of thumb when benching this game, its said "if you can run Oblivion, you can run Age of Conan", so, I'm afraid you're out of luck. Onboard video does not cut it.
