A Paladin of simple means… The_Poorman thus his name,
Although he may be poor in gear… he now is rich in fame.
Caught wind of rumors did this Knight… about the Uber Three,
A clone of Tristram where they dwell… the deadliest they be. ph34r.gif
‘Twas only heroes rich in gear… who stood a chance they say,
A solo hero to succeed… would need gear from eeebay®.
Our Knight did merely scoff at this… for that was not his style,
He’d fight with only “Normal” stuff… plus subtlety and wile. rolleyes.gif
With one thing though he did agree… the skill he must employ,
For only with the skill of Smite… the Three could he destroy.
Against Mephisto too as well… resists must be quite high, unsure.gif
With Salv and shield and Treachery… our Poorman would get by.
Since damage too would come from Smite… one more trick up his sleeve, biggrin.gif
With Life Tap charges on a wand… life leaching he’ll achieve.
A ring of Raven Frost he’ll wear… so he cannot be chilled,
For as our Knight so aptly says… if “chilled” he will be “killed”.
At last the Tristram portal’s spawned… now preparations made,
Both antidote and thawing pots… unto his lips are laid.
With Armor Treachery now donned… The_Poorman triggers Fade,
A switch to Darkglow and our Knight… a trip to Tristram made. shuriken.gif
It’s nighttime in this Evil place… due North our Knight will head,
Then counterclockwise he will go… the outskirts he will tread.
He stops nearby a secret stone… but past it he’ll not go,
For then not only Meph he’ll fight… but Baal and Diablo. ohmy.gif
He lets Mephisto cross the line… his timing must be right,
Successful must his Life Tap be… or useless is his Smite.
But he has practiced expertly… he right-clicks on Meph’s head, smile.gif
Then back to Salv and Smite begins… until one of them’s dead.
The Life Tap won’t last long enough… a countdown has begun,
He executes with seconds left… successful cast is done.
Now Crushing Blow and Open Wounds… begin to take their toll,
And with a final Smite our Knight… sets free Mephisto’s soul. thumbsup.gif
Meph’s minions then our Knight doth slay… stays this side of the stone,
Returns to town the way he came… still two he must dethrone.
Dons Treachery and triggers Fade… to Fana now he’ll switch,
Heads back to face Diablo next… this Knight who isn’t rich. innocent.gif
Our Paladin jogs back and forth… lest D imprison him,
At last Big D heads out to fight… knows not his outcome’s “Grim”. whistling.gif
Another dance of Tap and Smite… Diablo doth collapse,
The minions cleaned up one by one… our Knight now thinks, “perhaps”.
To town to rest and to repair… routine performed once more,
Drinks pots and triggers Fade again… some blues in belt he’ll store.
To Tristram then he goes again… directly South he heads,
Spies Baal and does his “dance” routine… as to him Baal now treads. unsure.gif
But as the fight gets underway… two things our Knight perceives,
More deadly is this fight with Baal… has tricks too up his “sleeves”. tongue.gif
The minions that he casts can stack… quite lethal to our guy,
As well both Baal and minions cast… can suck his mana dry.
With Baal’s life barely halfway gone… our Knight returns to town,
Goes through his routine one more time… and then he heads back down.
Baal’s life is back to full, alas… the fight begins again,
No different is this fight, alas … his mana bulb they drain. dry.gif
Frustrated he heads back to town… then inspiration hits,
He leads the minions far away… the Specters he outwits.
One final time he’ll battle Baal… more even now the match,
With but two pots; 3 seconds left… Baal’s life our Knight doth snatch. w00t.gif
Two charms now fall upon the ground… one large and one that’s small,
The Heroes’ Standard he’ll pick up… the other he’ll let fall.
For only “Normal” gear is used… this charm he leaves alone,
With nothing more than memories… he starts the long walk home
