So... I have two little dogs. They are Bichon Frise dogs. And last night I saw two fox in my back yard (not foxes at war, so regular foxes). Well, this morning, I saw the fox again in my backyard.
So I went over to go investigate and found a chunk of animal flesh laying on the ground just outside my shed in the backyard. It was a very fatty piece of flesh, so I am assuming it must be from a ground hog that got very fat so it could hibernated during winter, since I do have ground hogs underneath the shed (stupid things).

Well, I do not want these fox around when my little dogs go outside to go to the bathroom. Very bad, I will die if my dogs get attacked or killed by one of these. Does anybody know a good way, or some sort of remedy to rid your property of foxes? I read there is fox repellent spray, and I also read you could put down a bunch of balck pepper around the area since foxes always are sniffing with their nose close to the ground.

I can not shoot them, my city does not allow open gunfire. So don't suggest that. ;)

Yeah, I have a rodent trap large enough for a ground hog, I just don't think a fox will be able to get in there. Possibly he can squeeze in there, but the cage would probably trip and shut before he's fulling in causing him to probably get out. I can ask around to see if anyone has a bigger one.

I may also try the pepper idea I read, seems smart. The repellent I don't know if it would even work, if it would affect other animals, if it is just a scam, where I could even find it, etc. So not sure that would be an option.

To my knowledge they are most active from Dusk till Dawn. So tonight I'll take step one of my anti-fox campaign and start laying out the pepper where I have seem them by my shed

This sounds like a great idea. Another is to take a walk in your yard before letting the dogs out. Once confirmed clear, then come back to your house and let the hounds out.
BTW: Thank god you don't have a Fox At War, I hear those things can chew through 2 inches of steel--no chance at trapping them.

Also, GZ on breaking into the triple digits on GPs!

For the fox, the human trap box is not gonna working imo, its all metal with alot of human odors on it, trust me, a fox never gonna enter into this kind of box.

You can buy some coyote urine. You put some at corners of your back yard, pretty sure the fox not gonna go back there.

You can too call your city managers and tell your story, normaly they gonna send someone to catch the fox because the risk of the fox to get the rabies.

good luck ;)
