if you do not have the correct element MQ charm at present, then you should use another element in the meantime.
This will still give you some damage at higher levels... maybe not the correct Proficiencies, but still a good damage and build on another charm.

i did this with Heal, then when I started collecting up my Focus charms, I was able to stay Focused (little pun)
I got Rank3 in Heal before moving to focus... was using 102% ee Heal...

Just a thought you could look into... I do have a level 55 Fire charm with 80% ee if you need to use until you find your MQ earth charm.
