trying to quit smoke
cannot concentrate on anything
damn it
My 1-Year quit anniversary comes next month, been 11mos so far for me. 28 now, started ~18. My advice? Find a crutch, like gum, lollipops, go jogging/excessive, draw, paint, anything to take your mind off ciggs for a few minutes. When you get a craving, use the crutch. Worked well for me, I went through bags of lollipops and started running 3x a week and after a month of what seemed like hell on earth, I was better. Each month that went by I thought about them less and less, and now they don't really phase me, although there are days when I sit and think man wouldn't a cig be great right now... and then i move onto something else.
Just keep telling yourself you can, and don't give in. After a few minutes from when cravings start, they will get easier, and the more time goes by the better off it gets.
