yes because you have to buy expensive armor because you're expected to be a tank, and axes have a higher average damage so they tend to be more expensive, especially because hardly anyone uses them as far as i know.

axes took a huge hit in price range due to the str dex ratio needed for them ;)

Also just bc ur a barb doesnt mean u have to tank :)

i think most people assume that though, and so when you don't tank it's kind of weird.

i'm still totally confused over the str/dex ratio thing. someone said there was a link, but i saw a lot of the pages on the ladder slasher basic info page just say 'needs to be rewritten'. =\
