Houd had a good night!!!
So me and a few buddies went bowling tonight down in west salem (about 45 mins away) Had a good time etc.
On our way home, i get pulled over.. The cop says my truck fits a description of a truck in a hot pursuit about 4-5 hours ago in that location. Ya i had the v8 dakota with fucking racing stripes lol...) So he tells me to get out and do a field test, didnt even have one beer, then he makes me blow in the breathalizer. He walks around, peeks at my license plate and says " Hey, your plates dont match up" Well NO FUCKING SHIT SHERLOCK HOLMES....
So then, get ready to leave, look back behind the cop car where my buddy stoped to wait for me, hes stuck in the ditch. Not a big deal, had a snap strap to get him out. Well, ended up frying the valve body in the transmission. Truck wouldn't shift into 3rd so i was stuck at 40mph @ 3300RPM for 25 miles... Tranny was smelling VERY fresh by the time i got home. Pop'ed the hood, oil fucking everywhere, blew a head gasket on the driver side.
I'm to the point where i just laugh becuase this is rediculous lol...
option a-- scrap it next tuesday
option b-- 6bt / 6spd cummins swap
option c- new trans / heads
Most likly going to just fucking fix it.. but i'd like to 6bt swap it, or scrap the fucking thing...
