ouch you got no gear at all for sammy? That will be tough. Sammy's can only use daggers or swords. They can use any kind of armour.
If you go for melee and use swords you go for str. If you go for melee and go for daggers you need dex.

Frankly though, if you have no gear at all you should just keep using healing gear on your sammy. It will kinda suck but it's better than nothing.

Pick me some tier V magic and rares and hopefully some tier IV arcane's as well

e: just got off the phone, they found the bag, but I'll have to travel half-way across the country to retrieve it now At least it's a small country.
