Safe Transfer Practices 101
1) Xfer all valuable items @ as high a price as you can afford. If you xfer a weapon for 500 fg , you only pay 25 fg fee. It is worth the fg isn't it ?
2) Add .11 to the xfer fees , it will throw off the snipers another split second which is all you need
3) Always use msn / vent or any dependable instant messanger . Never xfer over pm !
4) Always have a backup ! You never know when one of you will get d/c suddenly .
5) Have the backup automatically grab the item in question after a 3 second hard count . This is necessary because if the person picking it up get's d/c , they might not be able to tell you to pick it up .
6) Remove your gold password - I recently did this to take off another second from my xfers .
7) Pick the right time of day to do major xfers. If there are 190 + people on ladder slasher , this is probably not the best time to xfer an item .
8) Enough fg - Always make sure all parties involved in an xfer , even your backup have the necessary fg for the xfer .
9) Don't mass xfer items at the same time - If someone sees a nice ee weapon go up , they are going to continue searching . Especially with our new viewing options , this is unwise .
10) Practice makes perfect !! If you don't do xfers that often , you need to practice buying 1 fg items and putting them up until you are good enough at it. If you cannot pick an item up within 3 seconds , you will be sniped !! Everyone use these techniques while xferring please . Alot of these snipers will be gone in no time if we stop giving them items to sell
good to see you're thinking in solutions rather than in issues
small ps to add to your guidelines:
it really is
NOT necessary to fill in your PW even though you have one, to effect a transaction.. just that you are aware of that...
another suggestion would be is to get enough EIS to be able to not swich during your clomb, which will also reduce the number of movements of gear
