don't be too quick to dismiss chain - they are usually a lot cheaper than plates, meaning you can get a LOT more ee for your coin.

this leads on to, although not having as much defence as a similar ee plate, the minimum defence will be much higher and you'll have a much better average defence / less range.



basically, given a 150ee chain or a 120ee plate: the maximum defence of the plate may be higher, but take a look at the mimimums too. (on the base/white armours, only the maximum defence changed between plate/chain)

Thanks for that... even though I have noticed the Minimum on chain being the equivalent to that of plate... the Maximum defense is best utilised for my build.

+26 Dexterity ... ... ... ... reaches a total of 100 Dexterity @ 55 onwards
+24 Vitality ... ... ... ... .. keeping base 60 Vita (even for sammy), plus the sword... reaches 108 total

Rare ultimanium sword
Level Req: 55
Damage: 21 to 217
+24 Vitality
+27 Intelligence ... ... ... ... .. This helps a little for those caster damage... total 39 with Sammy

48 Vitality = 45% EE (Defense)... actually 45.6... but I round down
27 Intelligence = 25% caster defense... well sort of... not sure how to work this out properly.

And now that I have that 55 Plate compared to my 45 plate (75% EE)... my tanking ability will be better.

I was noticing my MCC improved with the above sword on compared to my 60% EE 55 sword... so this is a good thing.
