I just hit a random monster 6 times (including first/last hits) and got 3prof

edit: hit that guy 13 times and got 7 prof

edit: 7 hits, 4prof

edit: 9 hit, 6 prof

edit: 14 hits, 6 prof


I think you just got lucky there rex - it's certainly not 1prof/hit all the time. you just fluked a few in a row

Doing more tests... it seems random and based on damage.... check:

There are some people that disagree on some things in gaining proficiencies... so I tested this out for myself:
Tested @ level 21 in Arena ONLY... not welling or Catacombs

9669 (staff)
1st attack (no gain)
2nd attack 9670
3rd attack 9671
4th attack (killing blow) 9672

That is 1 point per hit... and 1 point on killing blow

Based on this...
1. You do not gain Prof points on first attack
2. You can gain consequetive points on each attack
3. You can gain point on Killing Blow

and ive done some minor tests as far as prof and dmg goes, and noticed the same thing, its not a precise number, lots of random in there

will empty vault soon, helping my group get 71 then off to first door pally again
