I hate dial-up...
I restarted my computer this morning cause ls was really laggy...
Tried to re-connect to msn as usual, but it told me I needed to download and install the latest version... zzzzz
So just before going out this morning around 10 am, I started the download...
I just finished not too long ago, just before 8 pm....
That is close to 10 hours of downloading some program...
And you know the worse part?
I can't even connect to it yet... wtf....
Time to get the kids in bed, then some slashing....

Wow this is really annoying to wait that long and not being able to connect without it, but glad to have you back
This is similar to what it was like for me in the past some weeks back before i set up my entire computer again with new windows software in a 14 hour session!!!
Afterwards, i gladly had the latest msn version finally ( i think
), but im still total beginner with it and barely know the basic functions.
In the past, I could only install an older msn version on my computer before because some windows (?) files were missing for the latest ones.
Was able to connect with it all the time, but it was a really bad version to use because it had so many restrictions:
Like i can not send messages to people offline, i cant send files, cant have a personal photo or use/see smilies, couldnt check my emails and blah...
And for some reason this version loved to freeze without any warning!!! For me it didnt make any visual difference, it would say connected as usual.
But for others i would show offline suddenly not being able to send or receive any messages.
It would ask me for installing an update every time i tried to use such a feature
which i couldnt install because there were these errors all over again...
Fortunately that is all solved now, investing the time into the software update was really worth it
On a side note, have you guys and girls played some more ladder slasher last night?
There were several updates, but i could hardly test them myself yet or read through all of the long threads
