So wait I'm confused on new rules, I'll get at least 100 fg per MQ right? About to start some climbs. should have 1 mq every 2 days

yes but it is, you get paid 200fg on every second gp you earn, example:
you fail a mq = 1gp = not paid
you fail another mq = 1gp + your gp from the last climb = you get paid 200fg
so anything about 2gp's which means passing as samurai = 5gp's = you get paid 500fg
etc etc
