The Army of the ages!

We have formed together out of a common need for greatness, a common need for glory, wealth, and honor!

We are a coming together of the greatest, the proudest, and the best there will ever be!

There are many others who claim position, who claim rank, who claim greatness.

Only INTRASIEGE has achieved true greatness!

For what none others realize, what none others will acknowledge, is that greatness comes from being a team! A single, unstoppable, cohesive unit. Many men of a single mind. We are the hammer that crushes our enemies to dust. We are not a pack of dogs, striving to each be the biggest, the baddest, the best. We will not sacrifice our brethren to the worms for our own gain. We stand together, always ready, always eager to face the battles that await. For we shall see victory! We will accept no loss, no defeat! Victory comes with time, and time is our ally. Though the steps may be long, and the rewards few, through commitment to our common goal, we shall always succeed!

INTRASIEGE!

The plains of destruction have fallen behind. Bloody Sunday, the first in a long series of annihilation INTRASIEGE shall inflict upon it’s foes was a success! Scarred, battered, and beaten, the Pink Demon, bastard cousin to the pure beasts of legend, has fled in terror.

Now the test, the first challenge is behind us.

True strength lies in teamwork. True victory lies in the commitment never to lay down, never to be satisfied that you have done enough. Those unwilling to commit, have been left behind. They are the Russians, the Chill, and all others who would look to a champion, and not to each and every one of the men of their army.

INTRASIEGE has no champion!

INTRASIEGE is a champion!

The Pink Unicorn, having tasted defeat, has fled across the vast world of it’s demons, seeking shelter in some far stronghold. In it’s madness, it has created many avatars of itself. Avatars of malevolence, avatars of destruction. Avatars of fear.

But in so doing, it provided a weakness! For now, we seek not to scar a beast, we seek merely to kill an avatar! For unknowing, the demon has created it’s own doom. The final ascension will come. The highest class will finally face the demon, and slay it for all time!

And INTRASIEGE will be there!

Leaving the torn battlefield, the phalanx moves toward it’s new destination. The ruins of a war torn city, ancient beyond time, from the days of peace in this land of horrors. Now littered with the fragile bones of men of legend, whom the horrors were too strong to overcome, the city is infested with the hordes of the Horn.

INTRASIEGE shall prevail!

The rumors speak of many avatars of the demon in this putrid place. Whipping it’s hordes into a bloodlust, the Pink abomination oversees the death of heroes by the score. Into this den of unspeakable madness, the phalanx marches. Led by it’s General, Jay, the phalanx crashes into the horde’s outer defenses of the crumbling ruins, breaking it’s walls, and shattering its outer defenses.

Then, to the surprise and delight of the monsters of unspeakable names, the phalanx breaks, and the heroes split! But what they did not know, and would never suspect, is the phalanx is merely a formation. For the wizards of the ARMY that shall never be forgotten had devised a way for all to be in constant communication, to come to each other’s aid at a moment’s need.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM BOOM! BOOM BOOM!

The drums of war shake the buildings, toppling the weakest, and dust fills the air.

Into this, the greatest army to ever walk the lands of the Unicorn split up to seek out and destroy the avatars of the demon. For the hordes shall fail, if struck to the heart.

DAY 1

Having found a new recruit, Jay, the great general of the ARMY, takes DumDum under his wing. Always guarding each other’s backs, and constantly on the lookout for artifacts of ages past to help in their quest, they advance.

They had spotted the leavings of a great camp made in the fallen ruins of a once-great Museum, not many hours cold, which showed the evidence of an avatar.

Following the destruction left by the mobs, they slaughter those of weakness who lagged behind the avatar’s regulars.

Laughing in the face of fear, knowing they were out-numbered, they were never outmatched, and never knew any doubt that this was THEIR day! This was the day THEY would destroy one of the horrors the demon had become.

Up ahead, they see a palace. Old and windwashed, it yet remains intact. And guarded. They had found their prey. With a mere thought, jay calls a great bolt of lightning down to crush the gate, and char those who guard it. Leaping through the momentary gap, DumDum leaves a swathe of bloody corpses to the entrance of the building.

Together, they rush through the doors, with the cheers of their teammates ringing in their heads, they lay waste to the building’s inhabitants, splattering the walls with the bloody wreckage of evil bodies.

There!

In the great hall of the palace, there is the Avatar!

As DumDum lays waste to the avatar’s bodyguards, Jay goes to lay the touch of firey death on the Unicorn’s shade. The Unicorn rears back, kicking jay down, screaming in rage that such puny beings would dare continue to face it’s majesty in combat! As the Unicorn looks up from it’s kill, DumDum runs his sword through it’s eye, cleanly pulling out, and grabbing the fallen general, to rejoin the ARMY.

The Avatar takes it’s time to die, but it is no more, and nothing but corpses remain in the palace that once used to be grand…

DAY 2

Zombiez and Gamble, energized by the success of Jay and DumDum’s assault, move toward the great marketplace in the center of town. This would be their day! They had seen the campfires of the horde gathered there the night before, and had their battle route set.

Followed closely by Jm, Jay, and Roomba, who were clearing the area of any who would attack from behind, the two used the intelligence gathered by the rest of the team to alter their plans as necessary.

Skirting the outer limits of the market, they come in from between two close-set buildings. Here they hold, destroying all those who would seek to overwhelm.

For throughout the night, the mighty mages of INTRASIEGE had fortified these two buildings to withstand all assault, that these two heroes would be able to maintain a shieldwall against all who would come.

Seeing his forces decimated, and knowing they could not defeat the brave heroes, the Avatar of Madness went to meet the heroes. Laughing at the puny shield wall they formed, ignoring the Freezing orbs and balls of fire cast by Gamble, unaware of the bared steel of Zombiez, the unicorn charges in. At the same moment the horn of the beast pierces the shieldwall, the demon spits fire into the bared breasts of the heroes, burning them badly, and leaving them writhing on the ground.

Rearing back, to stomp the life from their limbs, the beast screams in fury as they fade…

Called back to the reformed phalanx, the heroes rejoice!

They did not fail. They did what they were sent to do. They weakened the hordes so the assault of the marrow would be ever more devastating…

DAY 3

JM, knowing the protection of the spaced buildings well, and having the constant backing of his team, found his mission.

This avatar, second of four in this broken city, must die.

Doing just as his mates, he used the buildings to even the numbers.

Just as his mates, he annihilated all those monsters who opposed him.

And just as his mates, he fell before the Pink Unicorns charge.

Yet weep not, great warriors! For JM, as he faded back into the group, hit the trip to collapse the fortified buildings, cutting off all hope of escape for this avatar! This night would be it’s last in the world of the living…

DAY 4

Forming into it’s rigid lines, all men protected by the shield of the man on their left, the phalanx advances.

Disdaining the closed spaces of buildings, the brave soldiers of INTRASIEGE smash through the earthworks and pike-bearing demons of the main entrance. Confident in their training, dependent on the men next to them, they move forward.

The Avatar of the Unicorn watches their advance. It knows it’s challengers.

Breaking away from the phalanx, Jay and Roomba advance on the beast.

Brave Paladin and club-bearing rogue clear the full bodyguard of the beast in the blink of an eye. But on the last swing of the club of glory, while jay destroys the last of the lesser monsters from the field, the unicorn kicks him in the chest with its bone-shod hooves.

But the brave paladin, Roomba, was there. Beheading the beast with his great axe, Roomba grabs Jay, and retreats to the inner fold of the phalanx. It is time to pass the club to another, for Jay, the General and Champion, is, first and foremost, a great and terrible mage, and the phalanx cannot do without his arcane skills.

Rejoice, INTRASIEGE! For Roomba has ascended! We now have two Monks, greatly great and powerful in their focus and concentration, among us!

DAY 5

The true test was ahead.

The great manor, at the top of the hill, unwalled, but fortified with great hosts of demons, holds not one, but TWO of the avatars of the horned bastard.

Undaunted, and unafraid, Zombiez and Wizz push forward.

Finding tunnels dug through the hill on which the manor stands, the pair cut through those who would resist their advance. Knowing it is their mission to end the reign of the Pink Unicorn over this city, they follow the darkness of the tunnel.

Guided by the arcane arts of the phalanx, aided in avoiding many pitfalls, and able to confront all dangers, they come into the great hold of the Avatars prepared to do battle.

But the unicorns are ready.

Being aware of the cunning of their enemies, the avatars had left many warning spells on the entrance to the tunnels. They knew when the pair were going to emerge.

Zombiez and Wizz never had a chance.

The Phalanx pulled them back before they could be slaughtered for all time…

DAY 6

FEAR NOT, GREAT MEN OF INTRASIEGE!

This is our day to rest and gather strength, this is the day to clear away all the hordes from the hill.

We have smashed apart all challenges in the city, and now it is time to clear the defenses of the manor that rules it.

Tomorrow is time enough to face the Avatars.

Today is a day to destroy their tools.

And we shall do it.

For we have no fear, and we know nothing but victory!

BLOODY SUNDAY

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM BOOM! BOOM BOOM!

The call to war has started, and the avatars can taste their doom in the air.

Having had two days to prepare, the phalanx does not form.

For the siege magics it is so well known for will suffice.

Lobbing great balls of fire into the hill, calling down mighty firestorms, and bringing hurtling meteors upon the foe of the hill, the army of INTRASIEGE forces the Avatars to emerge!

Splitting into groups, those who are ready attack, full of confidence, KNOWING they shall leave this day victorious as no other army could.

While the rest of the army pairs up to smash down the mobs that would distract the Heroes of the day from their targets, two groups of Demon Hunters emerge.

Kewbie, JM, and mrporno close in on the first beast for the kill.

The melee is ferocious, and the unicorn will not go down without a fight.

While kewbie attacks from the rear, and mrporno fills the Unicorn’s vision, JM comes in from the right.

The avatar knows the weakness of Kewbie, having seen it many times, and slashes with its knifelike tail, leaving the hero a bloody wreakage on the ground. But Kewbie does not go down without leaving his mark, severing the deadly tail at it’s root.

Simultaneously it rears up to stomp mrporno in the head. Mrporno dodges, and attempts to cut the legs out from under the deadly best. Lowering it’s horn and slamming it into mrporno’s head, the Avatar screams in victory, just as it loses it’s left foreleg at the knee.

Hobbled and weakened, jmb smashes the unicorn in the head with his club of status, knocking off it’s horn. Swinging once more, he crushes the avatar’s skull, ensuring victory for the fallen.

As JM carries his fallen mates back to the encampment to heal, Ryhn, Zombiez, Rage, and Garion close in on the second beast.

Rage, being new to the ARMY of victory, and eager to claim his prize, attacks with swiftness, seeking the breast of his prey.

The unicorn dodges the blow, taking a mighty slash of an axe to it’s shoulder, but running Rage into the ground with the same shoulder, knocking the hero unconscious.

Seizing the opportunity to make his move, Zombiez comes in from the side, cutting the avatar in the ribs, scoring a devastating blow. But, like Kewbie before him, he underestimated the tail of the beast, and falls to the ground, looking as ground meat.

Ryhn, seeing the devastation of the tail, slices it clean off, and jumps astride the unicorn’s back to drive his weapon into the beast’s brain. But he has forgotten the lessons of yesterweek, and the knifelike hair of the avatar extends, cutting the great leader to shreds. Unwilling to go down without a final word, ryhn hits the Avatar a final glancing blow to the horn, severing the tip, causing the monster to scream out in fury, and pain.

With a mighty final stroke, Garion strikes off the beast’s head, destroying the avatar, and further weakening the great beast in it’s hidden lair.

BOOM! BOOM!

The call to war falls silent, as the great army takes stock of the dead.

None of the fallen are it’s own, for they are all helped up by their team, and even now are marching with the rest of INTRASIEGE to the next destination.

A mighty blow was struck this day, and it’s reverberations can be felt around the world.

Two Samurais were born this Bloody Sunday, and 4 Avatars destroyed this week.

The great ARMY has proven once again why teamwork is greater than any single hero, and why INTRASIEGE is the greatest army of all the allied armies of the land to advance upon the foe.

Those we Trust are just ahead. It will only be a few more weeks, until they too fall behind.

The great Empire is just beyond, even now feeling the weight of our advance at their backs.

We shall conquer, we shall be victorious.

For we are INTRASIEGE!
