If you want to well on a meleechar: High EE weapon, High EE armor, High strength/dex charm, High EE Heal. Use your first statpoints in Int, until you have 40 int without gear. (that way you'll have enough mana to heal yourself later)
Also try to have MINIMUM 60-80 dex, depending on your level and gear.

ty but i was looking for something quite specific. ive read the guide but it gives no specific on what kinda ee/dex/str or whatever i should shoot for and at what lvls.
also isnt it cheaper to make a mage to well with?

Well, I'd say it would be cheaper with a magician than a samurai to well decently

Go for a int robe/dagger/staff and ee charm and ee heal charm for XIV (lvl 55)

k im just gona keep trying to mq my sami and i wanted to make a weller along side it so magician it prob be

as much as possible, there are no magic numbers

weller mage:

all stats into int
weapon ~ 40int
armor ~ 40int

attack charm 150ee+
heal charm 100ee+, if wild heal it should be way more

best lvl for welling is lvl 64, because you summon lvl 65 mobs then, so you can get lvl 55 side drops

this. i would use a mage if you are not bill gates ;-)
maybe 5 vita at start, rest into int.
weapon and armor together 70+ int is fine. 500 fg together
attack charm 130+ ee 500 fg
heal charm 110+ ee 500-800 fg.. so with 1500-1800 fg you can get the mq gear for the mage.. for the total climb maybe 2500-3000 fg

the higher charms/items the more success you will have. with my warlock i had 100% success on lvl 64-68 so far at around 100 wells. with my old mage i had the min equip i wrote down.. at lvl 55 i had around 90% success and at lvl 64+ around 60-80% with that items.. if 64 is too hard for the gear you have just well at lvl 55.. you get lvl 45 items max.. but there can still drop nice things.. and nice lvl 45 items are better than no items ;-)
