was solo, Can't ever ever find anybody on when I play
didn't help that I was in a TD

....
but I chose to take it (rogue)

last time I do that

Have a new char ready to go :
PimpTicket -
HardcoreSo if anybody is up for a climb on sunday I will be ready to go

Try this for your new character... so that when you are solo'ing... you will survive alot more than a rogue:
Hardcore Guardian Build...
Keeping it simple here:
Stats:
5 points added to Intelligence
5 points added to Vitality
Rest into Strength
Gear:
Weapon: You want to find weapons with Enhanced Effect, if lucky also added Heal Mastery
Armor: You want to find armor with either high intelligence or heal mastery, you do not need ee if you have same level range heavy armor
Main Charm: Healing type with best EE possible... Preferably: Focus or Regular heals... do not trust in wilds
Abilities:
Salvation: You want to achieve 66% by the time you are level 55 (this will change dependent on the EE of your heal charm)
Retribution: You want to achieve 40% by the time you are level 55 (if not, this is not a problem)
I normally start out by placing my first 3-4 points into salvation and then 2-3 in retribution... this alternates based on your
gear and how you are gaming.
Here is a key to solo'ing and playing it safe with your build:
Look at your life bar, you will see there is a / (oblique stroke) indicating half life, when your life gets to that mark, use your salvation.
Now, if you keep this up, you will survive quite easily... and remember to take note of how much you heal by what % charge you have
in combination with the level & ee of your heal charm.... You will know if you need to focus more on a better charm, or if you can let your
life go below that mark, and you will know if you can take on 3 times EPs at certain levels.
During levels of 1-20 or 30, try gear for damage first... so strength armors and ee weapons with a decent heal.
___________
Let us take in other Melee/Heal hybrids... basically using exact gear:
Fighter = Melee / Healer with a base of 60 intelligence
Barb = Melee / Healer with a base of 50 intelligence
Rogue = Melee / Healer with a base of 50 intelligence / 50 vitality
The budget Guardian WILL do more damage than those builds above using the EXACT same gear.
And if you want to hit the Club ratio with a Guardian... you can by level 55... (put 5 into int first and rest strength)
@ level 55 Guardian
Strength 90
Dexterity 10
Intelligence 60
Vitality 55
@ level 55 Fighter (less life, defense, damage)
Strength 64
Dexterity 40
Intelligence 60
Vitality 50
... Note: by rights should use Axe add 12 dex / 2 str for ratio
@ level 55 Barbarian (less dmg, heal, mana pool)
Strength 79
Dexterity 25
Intelligence 50
Vitality 60 (more life / defense... hence only 50 base intelligence)
@ level 55 Rogue (less dmg, heal, defense, life, mana)
Strength 54
Dexterity 60
Intelligence 50
Vitality 50
... Note: by rights this should use dagger or staff (expensive sometimes)... then dex +14 instead of strength
