Anyway, on another note ... or should I say me and my so called Competition ideas that I have not yet completed. (yup, got ideas, but never fulfill them, )

A Hardcore only Competition for New players (2 years or less).

Simple conditions:

#1 Hardcore character ONLY
#2 Guardian character ONLY
#3 Bufcore character ONLY
#4 0 proficiency in all Weapons, Charms & Skills

Goal(s):
#1 Make it to level 35 Bufcore only rules. (remember, with a Guardian character)
#2 Find the best item usable to the character class (Guardian only)
Note: This is not based on Enhanced Effect, it could be an item with +Max Life/Mana that is lower Tier, or a Heavy Weapon with EE, or stats or Max Life/mana... the higher the Tier, the better chance to win.

Prize(s):

Personally, not really forum gold, that would be a bonus, but the main prizes would be "Sets" ... or should I say "Full Sets".

Weapon, Armor, Main Charm &/or ACC charm(s) for the winner or winners.
First in first serve.

Now I just need to categorize them:

Sword = EE (+str gear)
Dagger = EE (+dex gear)
Axe = EE (+str/dex gear)
Staff = EE (+dex gear)

Dagger &/or Staff = Int gear. (Main or ACC casting charms with EE)

There are other options for low level items to level 15 or 25 items with +Max Life / Mana, especially off casters.


Well, basically, the first to get to level 35 climb bufcore will basically win, however another person could win based on luck of the drops ... I haven't worked it out. I think this is a good competition plan because you start from fresh, you have to use the same character class with the same restrictions and it is based on your own performance ... and yes, you can get to level 35 or lower and re-roll, just as long as they state this. Also, they are not conditioned to get to Master Quest.

Well that is my idea, I just need more pointers to make it a reality.

I like the idea rex, would be interesting to see how many newer players would participate. Many are just fg hungry and think ls is a way to make quick cash, then get the wake up call.

How would you judge best item? Would it be a vote from multiple people, or would you decide? Would want to flesh that part out some before you finalized things.

Haven't figured out the "best" item, I would have to categorize them based on the same restrictions and drop quantity.

Example: Heal charms drop frequently as well as clubs ... so... Heavy weapons would be higher in value due to rarity.

War Hammer are actually more frequent, same as Longswords ... spears are actually harder to find... Polearms are a dime a dozen, not sure on Battle Axes... they seem to be rare as well.

Best Spear / Battleaxe out bids the rest of the heavy weapons.
Level is taken into account... the higher Tier, the better.
However a Focus Heal level 10 with 60% ee and max life may be better than a Spear level 10 with 20% EE (no other mods)

Well, outside of that, I wasn't planning to have just 1 winner ... maybe 5 people complete the tasks at different times, however, the choices of items is based on first in first served.

Hmm... just thinking that Longswords should be in the top category also... that is because of Samurai, the next unlocked character can use it, actually it is the ONLY heavy weapon it can use.
