How did it help? It is now running extra code to make random pop up placement of the numbers on top of the fade outs and stuff? I haven't noticed a change either way just wondering what it would be that caused an improvement?
before the game posted a send receive every time the numbers moved fading out. So it was 10+ posts of info every second.
Now its just a random number gen that chooses like 3 for x,y spot, posts a number, then it fades out. So your only posting 2 sets of code for the numbers.
In cata, 5 people, 5 mobs, 10 actions a second and posted on 5 screens which is over 50 sends, now its just 20 etc etc
