How does the IM and guild chat work?

Had a few rough days lately and I'm so tired......
Didn't even get a chance to update D2... left home before it was ready...
I guess I'll do it while I sleep during the day (takes forever on dial-up) and while I don't slash ofc

Its basically the replacement for the old style open guild chats in the recruiting section that have been closed.
The guild noteboxes have been updated to forum style so that one may put them public and post like on regular topics.
On top the owner can also purchase more pages to be displayed for everyone, delete posts, give rights to others etc.
But since we always had our ls chat topic already, we are fine and there is no need to change fortunately

I hardly ever use the instant messenger though, too low on time these days and didnt really need it so far.
With like 600 friends on my list, this beep beep beep every time someone signs on or off from the messenger
and getting messages of XX people at the same time within a few moments can be reaaaally time consuming.

I did that a few days and ended up chatting for hours...forgetting about what i wanted to do before signing on
