Well, if you read the guides it helps. You also have to get a-hold of/buy some decent items that suite your level and character status. Leveling fast is pretty impossible without the right gear for the right level. Only persistance will get you through the game with your amount of fg. Just keep at it and be patient, and read the guides if you haven't already.
