The markets terrible right now it really is. I had a really hard time landing my job.
But do keep in mind something. You may wanna approach this your own unique way as that would be the smartest thing to do however perhaps
you may want to incorporate this:
Coming in with a very "fierce" but firm and polite personality usually sets you apart from a good majority of other interns, or recent college grads who are
extremely enthusiastic but show too much of it that it almost seems obnoxious. After that, during the interview, keep your firm and fierce personality with strong
statements and a strong handshake but then be human somewhere during that stretch and laugh show your personality.
As far as I know, there's this myth that in some professions, you've got superiors who essentially ignore, or disregard their fellow employees. However,
99% of the culture today is based entirely on the concept of "teamwork" and hence thats where personality comes in. By coming in with a fierce and firm personality
you show that your not afraid of anything and your different from other college grads who are usually extremely worried/frightenened when they step through that door.
Ofc you can feel the same way, but don't show it, and don't even make it seem like your hiding it, and then pull back with the human element of "personality" likeability, laughability.
Im sure your field is entirely different from mine in that of finance but i figured corpoartions would interview in somewhat of a similar matter not entirely but with many similiarities.
Oh and never use those career books, they are terrible for answers to questions or whatnot.
Those were just my experiences per interviewing.
Gl Todd and happy birthday.
