Fuck! I just died while I was 2% from a level and less than 1% from rank 4 in focused heal proficiency

It sorta sucks when you've got huge proficiencies though

true, but if we keep slashing it'll level up eventually =D

Wow I'm retarded tonight, I just died again I had 99% focused heal proficiency earlier and now I have 78% and heal proficiencies are hard to regain.

how do you get pts for proficiency? is it every hit/heal?
cuz if its based on each hit... i should be lvling my dagger way faster

Dang that sucks man! I thought I was hallucinating when I died a couple times and lost some proficiency. Is it a fixed percentage or something?


I do think it's every successful hit/heal (not 0 dmg) on a monster your level or higher.
When I did arenas I used to go against a lv1 monster to heal myself without taking much damage, but then my heal proficiency wasn't going up.
Now I just heal versus the arena monsters that I'm fighting against. It wastes more mana but I'm glad I bought regen gear to keep the downtime to a minimum.

I think it's around 3/5 hits which count for attacking and every cast counts for healing. But it doesn't work if you are fighting monsters at a lower level than your proficiency, if you only do 0 damage, and (I believe) if it's the first or last hit. That's just how I understand it though.


And losing proficiencies when you die works the same way as losing experience - you lose 10% of the total amount you had. So if you're at 85% you lose 8.5% but that's just for feeder classes, as you unlock more then the % goes up.
