Sorry for my absence lately all,
My wife got a call while we were at work today about our cat that had been hit by a car a few days ago.
The doctor said that her blood pressure had dropped last night, so they ran some tests and what happened
was that since she was not eating, her body was eating its own fat to compensate for the lack of food, the problem
was that it was doing so at a faster rate than her liver could keep up with, and it ended up giving her a liver disease
At this came the point when we had to think about what was best,
We could "try" to continue down the treatment path, at this point there was no 100% that her liver would recover, and she would have to most likely
have a perm. feeding tube in her throat. They said it would be another 4 weeks minimum in the hospital there for monitoring etc, and even then, it was
not an extremely likely outcome..
So we had to decide, and do what we felt was best. It was a hard decision, as my wife has had our cat since she was 7 weeks old, (She turned 10 this year), but we
ended up putting her to sleep
So its been a rough week to say the least.
I am going to spend some time with the wife tonight, I shall see you guys on tomorrow.
