LS is a game that takes investment, both in time and in FG. If you invest enough time, the FG will come, but it is not going to happen overnight.

That being said, I suggest starting out by making a Barbarian or Fighter. Focus on raising DEX ans STR as you climb. Hunt for weapons with ENHANCED EFFECT on them to increase damage. Armor with enhanced effect or a stat such as STR or DEX is also wanted. For a charm, anything that helps is nice, either +Life, STR, DEX, etc.

Click a lot. Try arena, and also catacombs. Also check the LS Portal page (the page that comes up when you click Play Ladder Slasher) as it has every piece of info you will need to know about this game.

I feel one of the biggest misconceptions about playing ls is all the fg you will make.

The first thing you need to do is read the ls character build guides. There will be bountiful information about how to make toons and what they are good at.

Secondly, you wont make it past lvl 10 with no gear. The best drops in the catacombs are at the upper levels, generally. With the gear you start with, other players will tell you "full". This means they dont want you in their runs. Usually due to your damage stinks, they have other guild members joining the run, or they have forsaken thier guild members for other people whom, perhaps, they feel they can impress along the way.

You need to either buy some forum gold or have a friend give you a loan. With your jsp join date, I doubt you have many good friends on here. I used to have some good friends. Trying to make more. Asking for donations are against the jsp rules.

LS is a game of enjoyment, most of the time. I dont think people play with the intentions of getting rich. Sometimes great items are found and sold for thousands of forum gold.

I have seen people begin their ls carreers as complete, worthless noobs, shunned by most. Due to their persistance and trying hard, some people take those noobs under their wing and nuture them until they become a top notch slasher. If this happens to you, never forget your roots as a ls player. Don't become a self serving pr1ck once you "think" you are on top of the game. Always be courteous to others. Always put your guild members first. Always be honest. Don't become a butt kisser. You cant be all things to all people. It is easy to see BS.

Forum gold doesnt cost that much. It takes very little to get started. If you would like some links to the build guides let me know.

I no longer take members with no experience, zero to a dozen posts, and have never played ls in their life. As a guild, we have given away much fg and gear to new members, only to have them leave after a short period with us.

You would be welcome to join our runs or at least mine. I haven't forgot how noobish I was when I started. Continue to post in our guild chat. Let us get to know you and you us.

You will find our active slashers to be knowledgable and generally very helpful. Sometimes we get carried away and have one tracked minds, forgetting the good of the whole guild. Most of the time this isnt the case.

Be persistant. Make a character and see if you even like the game. I will say this, you wont like it if you get kicked from every game because your gear sucks. You are in a tough spot.

I suggest going to the arena to get the first five levels. Look for gear to drop and Jesse mentioned above. Maybe, if you are lucky, something usefull will drop. Actually, anything that drops will be better than the gear you start with.

they kinda said it all but if you need a partner or someone to help you with the game ill be glad to help. I'm like you im still learning the game myself and wouldn't mind giving out the information ive learned.
