Then he can get into teams that will help him to help himself and get better items.

Copy & paste items that I already listed....
Then some people could help him by suggesting which items to use at certain levels.

This way he would not have to sell off items that he already has available that cost nothing...
He can build a good enough character to MQ and also get drops to upgrade/sell or for another build...
Or... he could sell off those items (after PC'ing them) and try to develop one character...
