Rex, that looks good from here. Will surely help answer some of the "same old same old" stuff we always see (even though I don't mind answering the "how do i attack monsters" bit)

As far as ratios, I think instead of sending them to the weapon chart, just simply say Sword/Club = STR, Staff/Dagger = DEX, Axe = both or either one. They cant really go wrong there, and then by all means link them to the weapon chart I have done that and people still don't quite get what stat they should be focusing on.



And wow Marie, congrats, that's a nice lil' chain ya got.

I so tried to get that drop... you have been two times lucky while cata'ing with me.
Sword (lvl20 7xee/+2 CS) and combined with that chain... +5 CS... well that is awesome.

Going to add in something simple for Ratios:
To increase your weapons damage, stat the highest number in the ratio... str90/dex10 = Str.
If ratio is 50/50... add stat to the opposite of any other items that have stat... so if charm = Dex... stat Strength

I agree, shorter is almost always better when it comes to a guide. No one wants to read an encyclopedia, they would rather have a few small charted facts to flip through, something user-friendly will always have more impact than a long winded book.

I think just simply TELLING them what to do here would be best, tell them to stat the dominant stat, and then list what each weapon is.

Sword/Club/Longsword/Warhammer - Strength
Dagger/Staff/Polearm/Spear - Dexterity
Axe/Battleaxe - Both or Either


Axes are unique, because you can either stat both evenly or go pure str/dex and have similar results. I don't know if there is a "best" scenario yet, but I know tests have been leaning towards maxing ONE stat instead of a mix.
