it's your first climb mate, many people have gone dozens of climbs without finding anything worth more than 20fg. stick at it

to put "luck" into perspective, the highest ee item I have found on LS to date was 94ee I believe, and I have been playing for quite some time. i also know someone who found a 170+ee earth on his first climb.

LS is a LOT of luck, and a little skill.



Keep at it, you will find something crazy sometime and it will make all of this seem non important lol.


@ Michael, that's one reason I suggested people downloading pokerstars and playing a few rounds, so you can get familiar with it. It's pretty simple once you play a game or two. If you don't know Poker hands, they are scattered all over google, and the format will be Texas Hold'em (you are dealt two cards, then the dealer will deal 3 cards face up, followed by two more, with betting taking place after each. you have to make the best 5 card hand using your two and the board)

wow i didn't know it costs gold to sell items....i thought after u sold the item it takes the gold out didn't know it did before u sold an items

if it is over 20fg, then yes, it takes it before. items 19.99 and under take it out after.

I play differently to 90% of Ladder Slasher (well sorta)
I was like you... 15fg... new... nothing great... this was starting like June this year.
I did something that most people do not do to this day...
Re-Roll my character just to gain Profs in a certain weapon... this is arena only and I sold off junks for 1fg, upgraded my lower tier items to make it faster and easier as I climbed... when I reached Rank4 or 5 in my main weapon... I used a different weapon from levels1 to 5, then went back to my main weapon.

Here is a suggestion... make a totally new character...
Do Arena with the gear you have now up until you are having problems with killing... like not reaching 5MCC... re-roll... repeat.
Do this over and over again, get the drops, sell junk, and upgrade better items if you find them...

This is what I did
1-15 (re-rolled untill I had good enough gear... test it in well)
1-20 (re-rolled untill I had good enough gear... test it in well)
1-25 (re-rolled untill I had good enough gear... test it in well)
1-30 (re-rolled untill I had good enough gear... test it in well)

This took alot of time... but with the proficiencies... I was getting better and better...
NOTE: Do NOT Die

EDIT: by the way... do this when you can not get into a group... this way you will utilise 2 ways...

well then whats a good mage build? liek the stats?
and doesn't it cost fgs to re-roll?

I did it on Barb...
5 stat points into vita at start... rest dexterity

You might need better gear for a mage setup

I will see tomorrow what I can do to help you out... but I am heading out shortly.
