Well my fever finally broke, was 103 degrees F, supposed to be ~98... guess I'm gonna live.

Stupid flu... I get a flu shot every year and this is the one year I missed my chance to get one due to working too much and look what happens.

need some help guys

my lap top screen has had a crack in the left side of it for awhile now
and on my way back to school it has gotten even bigger and ink is all over inside the screen

so basically im looking for a new laptop max of $600
any recommendations



this laptop i have now was $400 and worked perfectly untill i dropped it
all i need the laptop is for internet browsing and school work dont need to play any major games on

if your previous laptop is good enough then why not get the screen replaced? im not american but i can probs say that it could be done for around $100?

i could do that will have to see if there is a computer shop around here

Even if there isn't mate, its a really really easy fix, normally 4-6 small screws on the faceplate of the cover, and then 4-6 screws in the retaining brackets that hold the screen in place, done many replacements myself and take 10 mins if inexperienced! and 3-5 if you truly know what you're doing.

lmk what you contemplate on doing, that first one that Jesse posted is a great one for the price too though, but if you are happy with what you have, nn to go spend silly money on a new machine
