If I were to allocate the Str/Dex equally, then Axe would be better?
Considering you mentioned using the same stat, is this pure STR or at least more STR than DEX?
Let me know if my understanding is not correct with the above.
Glad that you enjoyed the night with LS Rex. :lol:

same with me that I just whack with whatever the character can hold.
^izParagonzi just simple answers would be fine. I'm not good with the details/ calculations. :wacko:
Thanks guys... I had an issue connecting previously (MURPHY FFS... no joke... I was online, went to the store to buy a 1 Litre [liter] of "Ballantine's Finest Blended Scotch Whisky" and get home and ISP is down and I had to call them up and WOOF at them since I am not a Bitch to find out what went wrong... lady luck intervened and here I am...

... )
Okay, how can I explain this in a way that would make a person realise(realize) that using a Sword is better than using an Axe... or Longsword vs Battle-Axe?
Now that I went to "bleed the lizard" and think on it more and the tests I did previously to prove my point, I think I need to check out the rest of the rest of the "weapon types" and ratios vs other "weapon types".
Consistent Damage Weapons are: Axe (+ Battle) and Daggers (+ Spear).
There is a difference between the two of them:
Axe (+Battle) = 50/50 Ratio
Dagger (+Spear) & Club (Warhammer) = 10/90 Ratio & 90/10 Ratio
Sword (+Long) & Staff (+Polearm) = 75/25 Ratio & 25/75 Ratio
The Axe (+Battle) is the ONLY weapon that has a 50/50 Ratio out of the five(5) weapons available. And buying an Axe type is expensive like a Dagger because of what characters can use those two(2) weapons through EVERY class including unlocked.
Okay, so let us talk about the first 3 classes. Fighter / Rogue / Samurai & Paladin. They can ALL use a Sword, also, so can a Ninja. Monk = Dagger, Warlock = Staff and Headhunter = AXE.
Here is the funny part ... Axes are expensive, yes they can be used with a Barb / Rogue or Paladin ... BUT when using the Damage calculator, using a Sword deals more average damage / DPS with the same Enhanced Effect / Prof Rank and Higher Strength stat (actually this also makes dex items a bit more obsolete vs strength items).
Okay, I will now use the Damage Calculator for the Feeder Classes AND their BASE stats AND Tier III Base Damage Sword & Axe to get a comparison:
Fighter: Can use Axe & Sword.
... 50 Strength / 40 Dexterity
Barbarian: Can use Axe & Sword.
... 60 Strength / 25 Dexterity
Rogue: Can use Axe & Sword.
... 30 Strength / 60 Dexterity
Remember the following is based on the "Damage Calculator" and Base Tier III Weapons:
Fighter = 50 Strength / 40 Dexterity.
... Axe = 24.50 AVG / DPS
... Sword = 24.50 AVG / DPS (
?)
Barbarian = 60 Strength / 25 Dexterity.
... Axe = 24.00 AVG / DPS (
?)
...
Sword 25.50 AVG / DPSRogue = 30 Strength / 60 Dexterity.
... Axe = 24.50 AVG / DPS
... Sword = 23.00 AVG / DPS
Okay, this actually answers two(2) questions that all beginning players want to know.
#1 Which is the Best character class to start with?
#2 What is the Best weapon DPS to use?
... The answer to these questions ARE;
... Barbarian and Swords.
Edit: Babarian AVG / DPS using Swords are better than Axes.
