I have came to the following conclusion:
If AB members have no more interest than exhibited in the last few weeks for posting in our guild chat, Eric the 10% warned excepted, I can only surmise that no one has any more interest in the guild. While I have always advocated playing ls should not take precendence over real life, things have came to a real halt.
We have members that are too lazy or sorry to post here but readily post multiple places in the jsp community. We have members that have not contributed much at all to the guild in the form of posting, visiting, slashing, or otherwise. I don't give three hoots if you slash or not, would be nice. What does concern me is the lack of any involvement at all in our guild.
As some of you know, I am leaving Friday and am not scheduled to return until late the following Friday. I don't plan on taking a laptop, no idea what the wifi situation is in a foreign country. I imagine the cost is pretty expensive. I certainly wouldn't want to miss out on my adventure and spend the coin to log in and talk to myself.
Everyone is busy, I understand this perfectly well.
I will leave things with this: I won't hesitate to sale this guild and move on if there is not more interest shown from the members of this guild. Interest can be in the form of posting. For Pete's sake, how time consuming is it to drop by and say Howdy? We have more people post here from other guilds than our own members.
I know things have slowed down here and perhaps picked up in real life. If everyone is that busy, we need to consider other options. I make it a point to log on multiple times per day to check on our members, threads, etc to see if anyone is in need. I am growing very weary of it.
If you want to leave, leave. I appreciate everyone's contributions to the guild, regardless of how great or how small. If you want to stay, stay. Do me one favor, get off your butt and be a part of our team.
Thanks,
Duke
P.S. My mower is still torn up and I am pissed.
