anyway air conditioner broke lucky I was here and could fix it! future career? probably not ha

good old GB, im from the north east of england! so yups!

i need to recharge my air con in my car! been fucking boiling these last few days, but then this is the UK, guarantee ill spend money on getting a recharge kit and doing it myself, which is surprisingly only a little cheaper than doing it in a garage, and then it will rain for the next 9 months!




so i put my car through its annual roadworthyness test today (M.O.T or ministry of transport test)


that was cheap...... NOT

cost me £45 for the actual test, and £200 on top of that, oh, and thats at mates rates.... needed all new brake pipes, steering rack gaitors, 2 new ball joints, a new track rod end, the backbox needed sealing properly as the clamp on it is just.... shit... the aux belt tensioner pulley needed replacing, with a new belt ofcourse, anti- roll bar drop link on the passenger side (nearside here in the uk since we drive on the left side of the road, trying to stay away from saying nearside/offside around jesse and levi whilst being a brit ^^)

oh and not to mention on top of all this that i still dont have a working drivers side electric window as i lost my temper with my gf and slammed the door, breaking the regulator! nice one andy! with it being a 16 year old car, they are £100-£120 for the part and a real fuck on to do, and ill be doing that one myself :|

awkward part is, i can do all of that work myself, however i has a fucked arm, and also the moment i take the car away from the garage, i have to get a full new MOT test so another £45 anyways!

for you yanks, its $1.55 = £1, no not euros, pounds, and no not weight, GBP

so that just cost me $375

Chances are that your car doesn't really NEED all of those parts, if you were over here they would look at it in two and a half minutes and say "Yup she's all good" and slap a sticker on the windshield to verify to the police you drive by that it was Legal to be on the roads.

and it would only have cost you $12.50 for the sticker

i actually got away with alot of things that did need doing, my aux belt tensioner is pretty much non existant, theres just no elasticity in that spring anymore! so my belt jumps all over and keeps slipping off one rib and squeeling, they arent cheap! also need some roll bar linkage rods on it and for my own sanity! need to fit a new drivers side window regulator, as mine is kaput!

well, london olympic opening ceremony seems to be pretty cool so far! been sat watching for over 3 hours now though and my arse is numb!
