3 lights, overheating, repaste the heatsinks?

anyone know if there is anything round the house i can use for thermal paste? like copper grease as an example?

you will need to buy some good thermal paste.. i got some at radioshak here for 20$ a small ass tube. it goes bad after its been open for a year.

also if you are going to try the re-heatsink trick you need to get some Goo-Begone, or something similar that will completely remove the old heatsink paste. Laqure thinner is not good enough.

Gotta diagnose it first and see what the problems are before you can go abouts fixing it.
