starting to do better now that the second day is over.

I'll be doing alot of sleeping as of late to keep my mind off nicotine

if anyone has ever quit and has some experaince with how long the craving tend to last please let me know :(
this has the be the hardest thing I've ever done in life so far..

I smoked for a long time, about a pack a day at my worst, and it's been almost 4 years since I quit. Was pretty damn difficult, but not impossible.

My advice is get some gum/lollipops/candy and drink lots of water... every time you have a craving, drink water and eat a piece of gum or something to take your mind off it.

That and get some exercise, go for a walk/jog, play some basketball or something active. Even go for a run, you won't want a cigarette after.

I had about a 2 year break from my smoking and managed it by going to thaiboxing 3-5 days a week. It was a bit different for me, cause when I started it I had no intention of giving up smoking but after a while it just came naturally that I didn't want a ciggarett. The more you go the less you'll want a cigarett since it ruins the effort you put into exercising and your lungs will feel fucked up after just one cigg after a training session. So I'd recommend finding some sport that you enjoy and stick to that :). Whatever you do, don't start eating to get your mind off of it as you're only fooling your body and getting a new addiction. It's all in your mind anyway, just keep pushing and it will be over soon enough :)

Btw, youtube benzo withdrawal if you want to see some proper withdrawal. Might give you some comfort and a feeling of "holy shit if they can get out of that... wtf am I complaining about?". Definitely gave me some encouragement when I saw it.

Yeah like jesse said except dont eat the gum just chew it and spit it in trash when your done. No need to swallow it :)
