BTW, I should mention that I've been little better than emotionally numb for years. Every relationship I've gotten into for the past... 8 years or so has been with the complete understanding that it's for fun, it'll go absolutely nowhere, enjoy it while it lasts, and if tears are shed on either side, then that's just dumb.

Turned out far less painful than relationships I actually cared about that failed, or women who I could easily spend the rest of my life with choosing somebody else, then coming and crying on my shoulder when it didn't work out, then repeating it all over again, always sidelining me. Fuck all that.

Seems to me 99% of the people out there, men and women, avoid getting into relationships with people they could truly see themselves still getting along with twenty years from now, so anymore, I just don't even care to bother with that pile of shit.

Still, hope you get over him fast. Lots of fun to be had, if you keep it fun while you can, and don't get your expectations too high.
