Should I pre-order or will there be copies available?

i always preorder, but usually just to go to midnight releases and they usuallly give you free shit for preordering.

I honestly don't understand what all the hype about the 360 is. What makes it "better"?

I've owned both systems and I prefer the ps3. I don't have to pay monthly for internet. I don't have to buy batteries for my controller. I don't have to buy a headset if I want to talk because my Bluetooth works. Care to explain?

Only difference I see is the xbox being more expensive. Not sure if the xbox has this but I can also hook up my ps3 to hdmi cord for better picture. And I'm pretty sure, correct me if I'm wrong, but you have to spend money on something to be able to watch movies on it, wherras my ps3 plays movies perfectly.

i can play movies just fine. xbox has a more hardcore fan base, way better exclusives, and yes we can hook up a hdmi cord, but there is no point because the xbox streams in 720 p. paying for our service allows for better service, and more updates. i have a plug and play kit so i dont buy batteries ither. and i use a 195 usd turtlebeach headset that i have had for like 3 years now so...

Sony has confirmed that from next month PlayStation 3 owners will have access to a premium paid-for version of the PlayStation Network. Known simply as PlayStation Plus, this will be an enhanced version of the free-to-use PlayStation Network, with extra goodies. Basically, it’s Sony’s answer to Xbox Live Gold.

Priced at $49 a year, or $18 per three months, the benefits of PlayStation Plus include:

- Exclusive in-game DLC and other content
- Free full games, changing each month
- Auto-patching feature, which will detect, download and install updates
- Early access to demos and betas

Note that those who don’t buy PlayStation Plus will still be able to play all games online for free. Sony deserves a hearty pat on the back for that, not least because Xbox 360 gamers require a Gold membership ($40 per year, thanks) to play online.

Those PlayStation Plus subscribers who sign up during July will receive Wipeout HD, a demo for inFamous, Fieldrunners, Age of Zombies, Rallycross, as well as assorted avatars and themes. Apparently, these freebies will vary from month to month.
