I highly doubt that I am going to jail, but my mother has informed me that you can for certain financial things, like not paying your creditors

A friend of mine is graduating from Tulane so we are going up there to party.

na no jail for that, they will court order you to pay x amount per month, baised on your income. IF anything.

My wife got served court orders from three years ago when she had to have emergancy surgery on thanksgiving day for a kidney stone,it had her kidney blocked off. We had no insurance and no $'s in the bank.. long story shortened,

judge told her to pay at least 10$ a month for.... a long time. lol.

I'm looking to see if I can get a student loan to pay off some credit cards to shut them the hell up and get them off of my back, and working part time and focus on going back to college.

Everytime I go to college it coincides with me working full time and I end up withdrawing or dropping out.

ya college is not easy for me right now either, but im lucky that they let me work for them under student worker, horrible hours like 15 max with min wage and paid twice a month, im getting like 240 a month. not easy to live on but whatever works

Imho, that is the worst part of college. Being broke. I suppose it teaches you to budget, and to be humble and hungry.

lucky for you guys if i didn't work i prolly wouldn't have become addicted to LS. cause thats all i do while i work is play ls. since they pay me to sit on my ass and surf the net

The problem is that I live about 45 minutes from school, so when it comes to working (I have worked f&b as a server/bartender for a few years now) and making 300$ a day or driving about 2 hours a day in traffic to go to a 45 minnute long lecture, my priorities get scrambled.

I have a prepaid Florida tuition for a "dorm" for a year left, but I can use that on any type of apartment as they will cover what the on campus cost would be and I would make up the difference.

Basically I'm going to probably get that money and move closer to school so I don't have a reason not to attend class.

Then I will try to use a 30,000$ or so student loan to pay off some credit debt and then work part time only (I have never had a part time job after high school, its always been FULL time to the max while trying to go to school full time as well) to pay for bread and butter.

Hopefully I get my head screwed on here soon.

Oh and if any of you see a place to dump my FG on a few LS items let me know

I want to resurrect the LS item bank we used to have with Hikkiko and the rest.

That sounds like a good plan. The only real advice I can say is persistence pays off when it comes to school. I hated being as broke as I was during school. I would prepay my 10 months rent when i got my student loan check, and try to manage 10 months on a couple of hundred a month. had a job for 2 out of the 4 years, got tired of calling home for cash, or driving home to do laundry....
