You can click on a target and get actions, or type and get no actions.

You cannot do both at once.

And typing while under attack by 6 EP's is so highly NOT recommended

Hold left click, then right click
Hit enter, and type msg.

Will be hard to do in cata's unless you are at an EP but I do this all the time in Arena.

very untrue in my case, i was able to do damage while typing.
The enter button was pressed down and i was typing yet i was still doing damage as black numbers were showing up on mobs i was attacking (not grey), here is uneditted screenshot, i have typing open and i am able to type more (even though it doesn't show the blinking "|", it still types), if i click on an item i can't type any more though) but yes FULLY ABLE TO ATTACK WHILE TYPING!

By the way, i was trying to do the first objective but i tried with a level 6 character, it said it was active so i went off to explore the maze and fell through trapdoor (not an option to stay on same level). Needs to have a level 5 driver or full team of level 5s or what? (i can tell you i couldn't drive while typing though, as i was driving the cata and a guy asked a bunch of questions which i had to ignore as i couldnt go left/right/up/down while typing and mobs died in like 3 secs for a full set of 9)
