and yeah, you should probably sell your axe (though it is pretty cute) and get some higher pure hm armor/weap.

I doubt it'd be too expensive as long as you stick with scales/leathers/axes/clubs. Might be able to see a significant improvement by just investing the 70fg you have if you don't want to sell the axe (check the mp).
