If you can't be honest, then what kind of man are you? Honesty is the only thing you need if you are anything else... Hey did you eat that cookie? Yes...Hey did you take my Dollar? Yeah... Did you screw that girl? Dad she said she was over 18
When I was 17, the thought of age never really got much attention! My dad used to say, "So how was she"? (whether anything happened or not) I grew up in a very man orientated environment. My dad worked for a tree service company and I was often around the hordes of men before and after work. So, needless to say, my views of human interaction were a bit premature.

I'm not a church-goer much anymore, Roby, but I do have faith and I'll pray for him. Good thing you were there to get him out.
Does anyone remember the comic strip Bloom County? It was popular in the 80s. The author changed the name twice I think, and got rid of some characters (there was a big "end of B.C./transition to the new" when he retired B.C., but I can't remember what it was named. This was the comic with the penguin named Opus in it, if that rings a bell for the older folk in here. There was also a young genius of a scientist/computer nerd in it named Oliver Wendell Jones, who was all rational thought and scientific method. In one particular strip he starts to have a revelation of sorts, and has a very difficult time actually speaking the words. The author gives the impression that Oliver's head will explode with this revelation if he doesn't admit it it's true, or use scientific fact to disprove it. Finally, just before he has a complete breakdown, he yells,
"The universe is just a little too darned orderly to be the result of a cosmic accident!"I believe the same thing, so I have faith.

Good morning, PvM.

Have you ever read up on the Wing Makers?
http://www.wingmakers.com/answersfromjames.html - To sum it up, these are early descriptions of the 7 spirits of "God". or whatever you should choose to call this universal energy. One of these spirits is called the 7th pillar of creation - called the wing makers - which humanity is a child of - or something of that nature. But to answer your question, I don't remember the comic strip you're referring to.

I am not religious but if any of you are keep a prayer out for a buddy of mine. I graduated with him and had to pull him out of his burning house this morning at 3am. He is in ICU at our local Trauma hospital.
Was the primary trauma burns and/or smoke inhalation? Either way, it sounds bad. Wish the best for him.
