I am not religious but if any of you are keep a prayer out for a buddy of mine. I graduated with him and had to pull him out of his burning house this morning at 3am. He is in ICU at our local Trauma hospital.
I'm not a church-goer much anymore, Roby, but I do have faith and I'll pray for him. Good thing you were there to get him out.
Does anyone remember the comic strip Bloom County? It was popular in the 80s. The author changed the name twice I think, and got rid of some characters (there was a big "end of B.C./transition to the new" when he retired B.C., but I can't remember what it was named. This was the comic with the penguin named Opus in it, if that rings a bell for the older folk in here. There was also a young genius of a scientist/computer nerd in it named Oliver Wendell Jones, who was all rational thought and scientific method. In one particular strip he starts to have a revelation of sorts, and has a very difficult time actually speaking the words. The author gives the impression that Oliver's head will explode with this revelation if he doesn't admit it it's true, or use scientific fact to disprove it. Finally, just before he has a complete breakdown, he yells,
"The universe is just a little too darned orderly to be the result of a cosmic accident!"I believe the same thing, so I have faith.

Good morning, PvM.
