The gentleman was 80 years old. He and my dad hung out for as long as I can remember. I am 43. I used to follow them aroudn the fields and woods quial and grouse hunting. When I was responsible enough to carry a shotgun, I hung in with them for hours.
He was a kind, Christian man whom I thought a lot of. One of many regrets I have is these older folks that were such a large part of my youth, not going to visit on a frequent basis.
So many people that need a visit and seems life is so hectice after marriage and kids. I am going to slow down and attempt to simplify life as best I can.
At least he did have a good long life. I was thinking he was in our age group. Im 42. You're right. It seems like the ones who need the most attention are the ones who get forgotten about or put off way too often.
I can remember waking up in the early hours of the morning and going hunting with my dad. Such good memories.

Used to do a good bit of fishing too. More good memories.

Im sure you have many as well.

Ive always believed the simple life was the best.
