At 8-9 in the morning, its hard to get a good game of catas going! Even when you do get people, most are bossy and have something stuck up their wazzoos!

Hi all,

I'd like to post something what I, and I am sure another other members in her aswell, think is quite important.

I had a discussion earlier with someone about the fact that Labyrinth seems to have a lack of teamspirit at the moment.

Maybe this sounds weird for some of you but most of the time I am searching for cata's I end up getting games with members of Big Time Gods or several other guilds.
But sometimes I don't even find any cata's, logical considering there aren't always people in the same level range playing etcetera.
Why not just do Solo's @ the Arena? Yeah been there done that. I do have nice gear for most builds to do solo's @ arena but first of all: not everyone does, which means the solo'ing they are doing goes ALOT slower then doing cata's with a guild-team.
And Secondly I have to say that solo'ing gets quite boring after a while which causes demotivation, recognizable? A nice team would be so much easier, it would be so easy to go 1-71 in one day with a cata team, honestly.

Okay but if we want this to happen, we will need a good team spirit. Right..
This morning when I woke up I actually got a PM of Sene who told me we should work harder..
It had three links in it directing to 3 profile character links of the guild that's in front of us.
I totally agree if we want to get higher in rank we will need to work harder, but this does not just take a few slashers. This takes the full team. Know what I mean?

The fact that I have to post that I would like to do Cata's with people of the guild Three times in this topic makes me wonder: What would be an easier way to get in contact with other guildies? An IRC channel would.
I have been on IRC for a very long time and I think its so easy to communicate with several people at once with this.
The last days I have also been staying @ the channel of the guild TheTrust. Beside the fact they are all really nice guys of course, I have noticed that they often make Guild Cata's. The fact that they have an IRC channel makes it alot easier for them to organize this, to get in contact with guildies.

I have no idea about how hard it is to get an IRC channel working on the d2jsp server. What I DO know is that its VERY easy to get an irc channel working on another server. But this is not for me to decide. I do know that beside the possibility of an IRC channel, the motivation of ALL THE SLASHERS in Labyrinth is necessary.
I hope I have made something, atleast my opinion, clear with this post. I just had to tell you guys this.

Beautifull post Tfc-coner, i can only say in btg teamplay is the binding factor thats why we are an oiled machine (and we have luck)

I so second your opinion and you know that!..I feel alone out there and if it weren't for a few
EXTREMELY generous help from a few peeps from a diff guild i would not and could not slash at all.
I would very much like it if anyone from our guild would give me just half the attention to make and form
groups to climb. I count on the generosity of others to help me because i certainly dont have the gear
to go solo. I would sit there for hours slashing and not even killing 2 mons in the arena..i just can't.
I need some help here..i can't do it on my own.

Sorry to say this - but Cata's is not high on my fave playmodes -- mainly because of the no-regen//life recovery restrictions that are in there. -- I have spent a fair amount of time and effort to build my melee style of fighting to where it is now, and catacombs effectively penalizes me for achieveing this standard.

Also - the assembly-line style i have currently on the go is not easily blended into team//Cata play.

But I agree with him 100% It was kinda hard for our guild to get going together but things worked out, we have a lot of members in various lvls to be with each other in cata's.

Personally im with rick here, I do not like cata's as my primary way of lvling but being a defenseless monk I kinda depend on it as I can do the damage but cant take it. (fighter to Pally im geared for solo action too)

I realized you guys are going for that 1000 gps mark. And let it be known if you catch any of our members in cata's we will try and help the best we can as we are trying to reach that goal too, and everyone cant do it alone. Ive helped out a few members here a lot lately in cata's and its been fun and fast.

I hope you guys can get some sort of system down to cata as a group or whatever to reach your goal. Either way, if you catch us in games and games not full, we're more than glad to help

The problem with Cata teams is availability, alot of people cannot be on at the sametime everyday! As much as I would love to be able to slash at certain times I also have 2 kids that take my time and energy. But for the people who can slash in groups are more then welcomed to do so.

fourteenseven-I was slashing with you earlier and always enjoy slashing with BTG, as there is usually one or two members in most of the runs I do!
