I've got a question about this:
http://ladderslasher.d2jsp.org/index.php?g=1
Vitality: Increases the base defense for armor. For every 25 stat points you have in vitality, you gain +1 to Life Regen. Every Level Up you will gain an amount of life equal to your base vitality.
??? Does this mean that vit on items won't give life but base defense instead. seems like this is akin to a 15% AP in DiabloII *ie the EE is tabulated after the base+vit is considered or is vit from stating also added into this. The vit doesn't show on the visible defense of the armor in game. You are correct in saying that +VIT from items does not add life, only +VIT added when statting will do that.
As far as the formula, I am not sure how it is calculated, but I can tell you that +VIT from gear and +VIT from actually statting the point give two different results.
I also stat 5-10 points of VIT on every class I play, just my style, I like having that extra HP boost later on.

anyone fancy making me a sig pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Normally I would be all for it but I have been so busy lately that I don't want to commit to something I won't have time for.

What did you have in mind? If it's something fairly simple/quick I can handle it, but perhaps not depending on RL and time.
