those custom light fixtures are ugly

Actually they are malfunctioning right now. They are supposed to cycle through the colors that the soffits cycle. For example the last picture has blue soffits so the knots should be blue, but there is a short backfeeding voltage not allowing it to be controlled. Hold on, let me find a better picture where they aren't orange and more of a crystal color.

At first I agreed with you, I though the knots were ugly. But when you see them in person they look a lot better and it makes sense in a place like this. In person you'd see them cycle colors matching the soffits and center bar.
