I have been thinking about my original "Counterclass" ideas lately...
So... you might expect another suggestion and wall from me in the next
few days... BUT... before this happens... I need your guys help making
the idea feasible to the community. So the following are some things that
will need to be addressed... and I will give you guys the basic principals
of this idea.
No Counterclass characters for Feeder Class:
... Barb
... MAge
... Rogue
... Guardian
... Fighter
When you pass MQ... You get to choose from Unlockable character or Counterclass character
... Samurai / Ronin
... Paladin / Scoundrel
... Monk / Knight
... Ninja / Muskateer (sp)
... Warlock / Brawler
... Headhunter / Mercenary
... Alchemist / Titan
Note: Counterclass names can be changed...
Now... the idea is this:The counterclass character is the opposite to the unlockable character in terms of:
Armor (if main uses upto Plate / Counterclass can only use upto Scale)
Weapon (if main uses swords / Counterclass doesn't)
Stats ... changed for the counterclass... BUT have same starting total
We also want to
increase the use of items that are not currently used much... like clubs.
Now... there is a flaw that I can see with this... You will be able to get through just by using Plate Armor
or Robes... depending on the path the person chooses... but... is it really a flaw?... mages are still the
primary weller...

as you said, it'll mean you can go all the way with one gear set. not to mention there's only a certain amount stat setups you can have - some would just be overpowered and others would be almost identical to existing classes.
