guess i'll go slapdash, power and double as my abilities soloing

i generally do points into double strike to reach 40+, a few points into multistrike, and the rest into power strike.

Slapdash just isn't that good for solo.

The few points of multi give you the ability to 1 shot a 3 wave and recharge fairly well. You save your powerstrike to 1 shot evils and use your doublestrike at 50-80 for speed. Also having a little bit of multistrike is handy when you get azapnid and he puts 9 on the screen. It's nice to just be able to instantly get rid of him.

Some people make use of salvation and retribution. These abilities are good but I personally rely on fish a lot when I level. So I much rather just focus on killing as fast as possible.
