If there would be a way for the items to not be placed on mp and returned in case they decide to go awol with them i would be all for the idea:)
But atm you are risking being left without ur items Rex... you should loan/give to the people you trust.

A point for your ideea:
Maybe Paul can implement a guild vault. We place items in the vault and those that need a specific item takes it from there. The moment that player tries to put the item on the mp or leave the guild the item should be sent back to the guild vault. Also a timer untill the item is returned to the guild vault would be good.
Don't really know if something like this is possible but to me it seems the safest way there is...

Gl with it though i hope that you won't get burned with lending out items.

Actually Sid... you helped me think of another idea to implement it.

"Contractual Vault"
The idea of a contractual vault is simple...
1. This is open for the whole community
2. There is a charge to use these items based on how many days they wish to use that item
... per 1 day hire = 20fg... and it is the same as the Marketplace fee... .05 per 1 fg
... purchaser gets a "Ghost" image of the item they are "hiring"
... "Ghost" image can not be placed on MP, as the original item is still in the care of the Owner
... "Ghost" image will not disappear until the timeline is used up
... The original item can NOT be used until the hired time has completed its course
... You can not hire anything over 5 days... this is similar to the time an item is put on MP

Maybe this can be improved
