It's tough being a new slasher. Best thing to do is try to climb with good folks like urself jesse. Last thing a new person wants to do is post something that draws the attention of the trolls. They are constantly out there looking for a chance to spout their immature rhetoric. I am one of those looking for the "fast" climb these days also, but I will still be there to help new people when I can. People are now looking for those climbs that take less than 2 hrs. "Less than 2 hrs." Like Rick said, I remember it taking a few days just to climb once

Hate to see the guy quitting. I would carry him if he joined my group. I remember a time that is still fresh and what has caused me to always respect Rick. I was a serious noob with garbage gear and Rick carried me to one of my 1st MQs. Good luck to all the new slashers. The more the merrier.
Yeah I have no real problem with Rick, and it is more an issue between him and Paul and the game changing in a direction he did not like than it is between me and him.
The old days of grinding out to MQ are gone, they have been replaced with a fast pace, team oriented game. Some people like it, some don't. Some have accepted and embraced the change, and others just grumble about the days of old. No harm done, he knows I wasn't upset with him just upset at the fact that new players get shunned for just about everything they do, including climbing and/or getting carried to MQ quicker than it used to be.
